Score 86-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006

(from 80-year-old vines) Medium red. Spicy aromas of raspberry, leather and underbrush. Sweeter and suppler on entry than the Pavelots' rather lean, cool, young-vines Beaune Bressandes, then soft and broad in the middle, with good sweetness and concentration. The tannins are nicely enrobed.
