Tasted Once The 1949, 1948, and 1945 Leoville-Bartons are all great efforts. The blockbuster 1945 is one of the great wines of the vintage. It possesses extraordinarily thick, massive fruit and body that stand up to the formidable tannin level. It will last for two more decades.

Ch. Léoville Barton is a Second Growth Saint-Julien estate, one of the three famous Léoville estates (along with Léoville Poyferré and Léoville Las Cases). Owned by the Barton family (along with Ch. Langoa Barton), it produces classically structured Claret that ages beautifully.
