Score 88+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Good red-ruby. Black raspberry and smoke, plus a suggestion of wilder berries. Juicy, spicy and penetrating; not especially fleshy today and somewhat dominated by its tannic structure. This firm-edged wine will need some time to harmonize but should ultimately merit a higher score.
