Score 92/100 · Drink 2005-2013, Robert Parker, Dec 2005

A gamey offering, the 2003 Pinot Noir Allen Vineyard offers up hints of strawberries, wild flowers, earth, mushrooms, and pomegranates. Tart acidity provides definition in this strongly flavored, concentrated Pinot. It should drink well for 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

Full red-ruby. Restrained aromas of plum, raspberry, cola and earth; a very ripe style of Allen. Broad, suave and rich, with a fine-grained texture and complex flavors of mocha, iron, smoke, truffle and underbrush. Suave, spherical and attractively sweet pinot with impressive palate coverage.
