Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2009
Good full red. Plum and raspberry fruit aromas are perked up by pungent minerality and complicated by saline and smoked meat nuances. Big, plush and broad but dry, with impressive volume leavened by spices. Finishes with dusty tannins and a surprising combination of sweetness and lift. This one has the highest VA of these 2007s today, at 0.7, according to Croix.
