Tasting notes
Glistening ruby-red. Spice- and mineral-accented red berry and cherry on the highly perfumed nose, along with suggestions of succulent herbs and potpourri. Vibrant red fruit preserve, exotic spice and lavender pastille flavors show fine definition and deepen slowly with air. The floral note resonates on the wonderfully long, spice-accented finish, which is framed by discreet tannins. 5% new French oak.

The 2019 Les Deux Frères is a perfumed, elegant blend of Grenache (52%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%) and Tempranillo (22%). It offers tricolored berry fruits with loads of floral perfume and amaro-like spices. Full-bodied and fine-grained, it has surprising lift for its density of fruit and a graphite-tinged finish.
Looking at the reds, the 2019 Les Deux Freres checks in as mostly Grenache blended with 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Tempranillo. It’s another pure, elegant, gorgeous wine from this team offering lots of red and black fruits, notes of cedary spice, herbs, tobacco, and subtle meaty nuances, silky tannins, and wonderful overall balance.
