Score 89+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Bright ruby-red. Vibrant if subdued aromas of cherry and redcurrant. Densely packed and lively in the mouth, with cooler, penetrating licorice and mint flavors. Shows a distinctly rougher texture today than the Pezerolles. Finishes with a chewy tannic spine and excellent length. Serious juice for aging.
