Score 93/100 · Drink 2017-2028, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Jan 2017

Very elegant and streamlined, the 2012 Barolo Cannubi Boschis is the standout wine among these 2012 releases from Virna. The wine boasts elegance and grace but is not shy in terms of power and persistence. Dried cherry aromas are followed by licorice, tar, road paving, rose and cola. This is a complete expression of Nebbiolo that accurately reflects the warm vintage.

Barolo. Mid ruby with bright orange tinges. Herb liqueur nose and sweet cherry on the palate. Already some development here. Smoky notes and a hint of dried fruit and stalky tannins. Long, but not very complex. (WS)
