The 2021 Pinot Noir Petit Génat is youthfully flinty and tarry, slowly revealing a core of red, spicy fruit. The medium-bodied palate is powerful, combining concentrated flavors with firm, grainy tannins and seamless acidity, and it has a mineral-driven finish. It deserves several years in the cellar.

There is also a fantastic nose on the 2021 Pinot Noir Petit Geant, which pours a deeper, more magenta color and has a deeper richness on the nose, with notes of dark stones, forest floor, and blackberries. A great juxtaposition with a lot of depth, it has fantastic, rich balance without ever feeling heavy and is an exceptional offering that can stand up to fall and winter dishes like root vegetables and roast duck. It has the structure to improve and age gracefully over the next 15 years. Drink 2025-2040.
