Tasting notes
A big but well-balanced wine that maintains freshness and drinkability, while being deep and saturated at the same time. Good fruit acidity and broad, fine-grained tannins support black cherries, blueberries, red cherries and dark chocolate on a full body. Drink now or hold.

Sourced from Oakville's MBar Ranch, Round Pond's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Secret Garden spent 20 months in 85% new French oak. Scents of cedar bark, cassis, black cherries and vanilla appear on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied, velvety and plush. Softly dusty tannins and a bit of licorice linger on the finish. This wine is forward but still concentrated enough to drink well for at least a decade.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravel Series Secret Garden (from MBar Ranch) is a very pretty, understated wine. Succulent red cherry, red plum, mocha, spice, new leather and licorice all meld together in this pliant, creamy Cabernet. The 2022 is an attractive wine for the year, but it is decidedly medium in body and soft in texture.
