The 2022 Flagship Syrah was fermented with 50% whole clusters in concrete and matured for eight months in concrete and seven months in 60% new French oak. The nose is bursting with pure scents of blackberry, blueberry, peppermint, violet and cast iron. The full-bodied palate offers rich, ripe, layered flavors without over-ripeness or compression. It’s structured by powdery tannins and just enough juicy acidity and has a long, spicy finish. 488 cases produced.

The 2022 SYR, a varietal Syrah, wafts up with an enticing blend of crushed blackberry accentuated by minty herbs and exotic spice. A hint of black olive adds lovely complexity. It’s silken and round with a sensation of liquid stone minerality up front, as ripe black fruits swirl beneath an air of violet inner florals. This leaves a beguiling tinge of sour citrus, licorice and sage while finishing long and gently tannic. The SYR mixes fruit from the Rocks District, Red Mountain and Royal Slope.
