Vivid ruby. Musky cherry and red currant aromas, along with hints of botanical herbs and allspice. Gently chewy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry, red berry, spicecake and licorice flavors that turn sweeter through the back half. Dusty tannins add shape and grip to the long, spicy finish, which leaves cherry pit and baking spice notes behind.

A barrel blend, the 2019 Pinot Noir Cumberland Reserve has a medium ruby-purple color and opens with some flinty tones over cranberries, bitter citrus and amaro aromas. Grainy and fresh, the medium-bodied palate offers crunchy fruits and fine earthy accents, finishing long, uplifted and spicy.
Pale garnet colour. Rather indistinct, smudgy nose that's not exactly bursting with fruit. But on the palate it has a beguiling smooth texture even if the fruit is a little astringent. A bit stringy. Much more disappointing than Old Stones Chardonnay 2019. (JR)
This is a blend of various parcels and delivers a regional expression, which is a handy one from vintage 2019. Ripe red-cherry, some bracken, wild-herb and toasted baking-spice notes lead to an approachable palate that has smoothly rendered tannins and bright red cherry on center stage. Drink now.
