Score 86/100 · Drink 2000-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 2000
The saturated ruby/plum-colored 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon displays straightforward black currant fruit flavors with licorice, cedar, and earth notes. While medium-bodied and attractively ripe, it is somewhat one dimensional. Drink it over the next decade. Tel. (707) 963-7108; Fax (707) 963-7595

Red-ruby. Captivating nose of cassis, black cherry, bitter chocolate, tobacco and smoky, spicy oak. Generous and pliant; fat but with nicely restrained sweetness. Very good intensity and supporting structure. Still rather tight on the finish, which shows a late hint of leather. A rather grown-up style of Napa cabernet.
