Tasting notes
Absolutely killer, the 2014 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa (16.4% alcohol) is opaque purple in color with notes of Asian spice, blackberry, blueberry, chocolate and espresso. The wine is complex, beautifully pure, and full-bodied, with a skyscraper-like texture and length. Drink it over the next 10-15+ years.

The 2014 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa presents a more floral, perfumed expression of Zinfandel, with plenty of sweet red stone fruit, pomegranate and floral overtone, all in a decidedly lifted style. The clonal material was all sourced from Jackass Hill. Drink this gracious Zinfandel over the next decade or so.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
