Tasting notes
The 2016 Syrah Lolita Ranch is bright, punchy and forward, with tremendous flavor intensity and exceptional balance. Super-ripe red /black cherry, plum, lavender, rose petal and spice are all pushed forward in this very pretty, nuanced Pinot. Among other things, the Lolita Ranch is distinguished by its deep, resonant aromatics.

Opaque purple-black in the glass, the 2016 Syrah Lolita Ranch is scented of spicy blackberries, black cherry jam, black pepper, bitter chocolate, green olive and bacon fat with violet nuance. Full-bodied with intense, spicy black and blue fruits in the mouth, it has very ripe, firm, grainy tannins and wonderful freshness to lift the very long, savory finish. 95 cases were made.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
