Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Vellutini Ranch is wonderfully open-knit and inviting. Hints of leather, licorice, cedar and dried flowers add aromatic nuance to this mid-weight, gracious Zinfandel. In short, the Vellutini Ranch is a wine of tremendous appeal and immediacy. I loved it.

Medium ruby colored, the 2017 Zinfandel Vellutini Ranch has an intense nose packed with fruit—peach jam, blueberry pie, warm red and black cherries and berries. Medium to full-bodied, it offers wonderfully spicy fruit in the mouth, framed by great juicy acidity and fine tannins with a long, warm fruit finish. 302 cases produced.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
