82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, 2% Merlot. ‘2022 began with generous winter rains that filled our reservoirs and saturated our soils. A cool dry spring was followed by ideal summer weather with no days above 100 °F until a significant heat event beginning near Labor Day. Thankfully, with extensive irrigation and careful canopy management to protect the fruit from the sun, we were able to respond to the heat on a block-by-block basis.’ Harvest 7 September to 20 October. Bottled June 2024. Winemaker Phillip Corallo-Titus. Some of the darkest wines here! Blackish crimson. But actually it’s contained and like essence of Napa mountain. Really nice – polished but appetising. Very pure! (JR)

Excellent quality, fresh and full of personality. Black cherry, sandalwood, rose bud, liquorice root, crayon, graphite, totally delicious. Love the expansion through the palate and the juicy finish, this is concentrated and powerful with silky tannins, super enjoyable. Philip Titus winemaker.

A killer wine and great value, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature reveals tons of cassis and darker, almost blue fruits intermixed with sappy spring flowers, crushed stone, and lead pencil nuances. Based on 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 2% Merlot, it's balanced and medium to full-bodied, with beautiful tannins. This is a no-brainer purchase that will drink beautifully for 10-12 years.

Well-priced for the quality, Chappellet's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature serves up bold aromas of mocha, cassis and black cherries. In the mouth, it's full-bodied and packed with flavor, nicely concentrated and framed by supple tannins. It's not overripe—a real risk this vintage—but does have a pronounced mocha note on the lingering finish.
