Score 87/100 · Drink 1998-2006, Robert Parker, Dec 1998

One of the finest values in high class Cabernet Sauvignon each year is Souverain's Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley. The 1996 is a sexy, fleshy wine with a bouquet of cigar box, smoke, cedar, and black currants that has been intermixed with lavish new oak. Hedonistic and lush, with ripe fruit, low acidity, and a plush texture, it will drink well for 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 433-8281; Fax (707) 433-5174
