The full-bodied 2010 Petite Sirah Estate exhibits sweet tannin as well as lots of blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with floral and pen ink notes. While approachable, it should age for 15-20 years. Tel. (707) 942-4670

(100% petite sirah): Good bright ruby. Aromas of musky black cherry, blueberry, wild herb, clove and pepper, plus a high-toned whiff of dried berries Silky, ripe and satisfying, with plump, mouthfilling black fruit and spicy oak flavors framed by harmonious acidity. Essentially round, fruit-driven petite sirah with slowly building but soft tannins. This was tougher from barrel a year ago.

Saturated ruby-red. Blackberry, black cherry and violet on the nose; conveys a strong crushed berry character. Rich, supple and inviting, with blackberry and licorice flavors lifted by flowers and aromatic herbs that reminded me of garrigue. A bit youthfully tough on the chewy finish, but offers captivating lingering perfume.
