The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Prado is a more rounded, sexy wine and has lots of chocolaty dark fruits, toasted spice, vanilla, and a touch of flowers on the nose. With no hard edges, plenty of mid-palate fruit, and sweet tannins, it’s already hard to resist yet should keep for 15 years or more.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Prado is laced with hints of sweet red/purplish berry fruit, mint, rose petal and lavender. In the glass, the 2017 is pliant and easygoing, but it narrows a bit towards the finish. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years, give or take.
Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in oak barrels for 21 months, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Prado sports a deep garnet-purple color. It leaps from the glass with gregarious Black Forest cake, crème de cassis and Christmas pudding scents followed by suggestions of underbrush, cigar box and dried Provence herbs. Full-bodied, rich and generously fruited, it has a solid frame of grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing with great length. 219 cases were made.
