Coming from old vines planted in 1975 in the Kiona Home Block parcel (these are some of the oldest vines on Red Mountain), and the first time Chris has bottled this section on its own, the 2013 The Fog Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon has terrific notes of plums, blueberries, violets, chocolate and that classic Red Mountain minerality that’s present in just about every wine from this sensational terroir. Full-bodied, concentrated, focused and with fine tannin, it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years, and will see its 20th birthday in fine form.
