Tasting notes
The estate's 2003 Campaccio (70% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon) presents an herbal, mentholated nose along with dark red cherry and toasted oak flavors. Medium in body, it offers excellent length and enough fruit to balance the slightly hard tannins that are typical in this vintage. It is somewhat unusual in that 40% of the fruit is sourced from vineyards in Chianti Classico while 60% of the fruit comes from Maremma.
