Tasting notes
Jumping up in price, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is all estate fruit as well and spent 24 months in barrel. Mulled blackberries, cigar tobacco, chocolate, and loamy earth notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, enjoyable Cabernet with ripe, integrated tannins and a good finish. It's another well-made wine in the lineup that should evolve for 15 years in cold cellars.

The deepest and most concentrated of Canard's Cabernets, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is also the most elegant and refined. Waves of cassis and black cherries emerge on the nose, accented by a judicious bit of oak spice, while the full-bodied palate is smooth and supple yet boasts ample richness, and the lingering finish is framed by softly dusty tannins.
