Score 88/100 · Drink 2013, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2010
The 2008 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is soft and supple in this vintage. Red berries, flowers and spices come together nicely in the glass. This, too, is a fairly approachable Barbera best suited to near-term drinking.

The 2008 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is soft and supple in this vintage. Red berries, flowers and spices come together in the glass. This, too, is a fairly approachable Barbera best suited to near-term drinking. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012. Vietti is one of my favorite producers in Italy. The estate's entry-level Tre Vigne Barberas are usually great values, but in 2008 they seem to lack the stuffing of the best years. Importer: Dalla Terra, Napa, CA; tel. (707) 259-5405
