Score 88/100 · Drink 2006-2010, Robert Parker, Feb 2007

The 2004 was slightly less impressive from bottle than I thought last year, but exhibits sweet, dusty black cherry notes intermixed with some crushed rock. It is lighter-bodied than I remember, but much in keeping with the vintage. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL; tel. (205) 980-8802

Broad and very rich and sweet. Lots of alcohol and animal notes. Almost porty-rich with a note of tobacco. Hot finish. Very heavy – for the richest of daubes. (JR)

Bright red. Intensely floral aromas of spicy cherry, wild strawberry, garrigue, red licorice and dried violet. Firm and juicy, with nicely focused red berry flavors. Finishes nervy and long, with a complicating note of cracked pepper.
