Tasting notes
(14.5% alcohol): Bright ruby. Inviting aromas of blackberry, cassis, chocolate and mocha, plus hints of kirsch and menthol. A suave, pure, seamless midweight with a touch of medicinal reserve and ripe framing acidity to its dark berry and spice flavors. Finishes with dark berry and bitter chocolate notes and slowly rising length. Not the last word in depth but this is lovely right now owing to its attractive balance of sweetness and energy.

Inky purple. Intensely perfumed, exotic scents of black and blue fruits, cherry preserves, vanilla, cocoa powder and cedary oak spices. Lush and creamy on entry, with deeply concentrated cassis and boysenberry flavors, then firmer in the middle, showing a bitter cherry nuance and a suggestion of licorice pastille. The vanilla note comes up with air and carries through the very long, sappy, gently smoky finish.
