Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Core is another hedonistic, full-throttle effort from Buoncristiani. Crème de cassis, lavender, vanillin, plum, mint and sweet spices are all amped up in an intense, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon loaded with personality. Creamy and inviting, the 2015 has enough structure to support at least a decade of fine drinking.

Deep purple and completely opaque in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Core is sensational juice. Blackberries, cassis, crushed rocks, violets and hints of scorched earth all emerge from the glass of this full-bodied, opulent, yet beautifully concentrated red that has sweet tannin, a stacked mid-palate, and a blockbuster finish.
Inky purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Core gives fragrant cinnamon stick, cloves and fenugreek notes over a core of crushed blackberries, black currant cordial and mulberries with touches of dried herbs, cigar box and mocha. The lively, full-bodied palate bursts with vibrant, youthful black fruit flavors, supported by very fine, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with persistent exotic spice notes.
