The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens is terrific, although bottle age is going to be required. All Cabernet Sauvignon from estate fruit in Calistoga, it offers a savory, herbal, mineral-laced bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, tobacco, forest floor, and earth, and it shows more violet and blue fruit notes with time in the glass. Tannic, medium to full-bodied, structured, and nicely concentrated, hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 15-20.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens Vineyard is incredibly beautiful and vivid. Inky and heady, with striking purity of fruit, the 2018 hits all the right notes. Raspberry jam, blood orange, mint and rose petal give the 2018 a very distinct exotic feel. The aromatics alone are so enticing, but there is a lot more to the 2018. I would give the 2018 at least a few years in bottle to soften.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens has a deep garnet-purple color, prancing out of the glass with vivacious scents of blueberry pie, black currant cordial and fresh blackberries plus hints of cinnamon toast and clove oil. Full-bodied, the palate has an approachable structure of finely grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the tightly knit black fruits, finishing with a spicy kick. 346 cases were made.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens Vineyard is fabulous. Rich and explosive on the palate, the 2018 is super-expressive, even in the early going. The purity of the fruit is just dazzling. A rush of blue and purplish fruit, lavender, mint and dark spice saturate the palate with stunning depth and overall intensity. There is so much to like here.
