Score 92/100 · Drink 2020-2021, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2018

The 2016 Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge Vineyard is a powerful, exotic wine. Dense and almost inky, the Comptche Ridge presents a decidedly powerful, brooding expression of Anderson Valley Pinot. Hints of leather, smoke, tobacco and grilled herbs add nuance to this deeply resonant, expression of Pinot from Anthill Farms. There is so much personality here.
