Tasting notes
The 2014 Pinot Noir Estate East Ridge is fully mature, but has enough vibrancy to drink well for another few years. Sweet red cherry fruit, spice box, cedar and tobacco all grace this elegant, nuanced wine. Ross Cobb made the 2014 at a time when the wines were done with lighter extractions than today, with some stems (15%) and longer aging, all choices that shape this delicate, aromatic Pinot.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Estate East Ridge is one of the most overt wines in the range. Soaring aromatics, pliant fruit and beautifully integrated tannins give the wine immediacy as well as intensity. There is considerable inner sweetness and weight in a style that confers power without excess weight. Although not particularly subtle, the 2014 is layered, persistent and exceptionally vivid.
