Score 88/100 · Drink 2017-2019, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017
2016 was a challenging vintage, cold and rainy, and the 2016 Pinot Noir Tobiano was harvested even earlier than the Sauvignon Blanc. They are moving to organic farming in the vineyards and larger barrels to avoid the imparting of the oak in the wine. It fermented with natural yeasts and some full clusters and matured in French oak barrels for eight months. It has a bright and fruit-driven nose, a lighter style of Pinot Noir with only 12.5% alcohol and less time in oak, too. The palate shows that lightness, which makes it very drinkable. 10,360 bottles produced.
