2014 Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir Summa Vineyard

Floral and savory notes are pushed forward in the 2014 Pinot Noir Summa Vineyard. Pliant and resonant on the palate, the Summa is a bit deeper than the Old Vines, but also less finessed, especially in this vintage. Interestingly, the Summa is quite a bit fleshier than the Old Vines, which is a bit counterintuitive. Savory herbs, crushed flowers, anise and dark cherry add the final shades of nuance.
