Tasting notes
There are 12,000 cases of the 2016 Zinfandel Juvenile, a cuvée that began life as a bottling produced from the young-vine fruit from replanted vines, which Turley has always harvested separately, and now includes declassified wine from other sites. Offering up an inviting bouquet of sweet cherries, plums and petroleum jelly, the wine is medium-bodied, supple and velvety, with tangy acids, a ripe core of fruit and a mouthwatering finish. As the price hasn't changed since the inaugural release, the Juvenile bottling represents ever better value with each new vintage.

The 2016 Zinfandel Juvenile, Turley's young-vine, entry-level wine, captures the freshness of the vintage in its bright, red-toned fruit. Hints of cedar, orange peel, spice and tobacco add layers of flavor nuance to this mid-weight, inviting Zinfandel. Drink it over the next few years.
