Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stone Place comes from a single vineyard in St. Helena, on the valley floor and 45-year-old vines. It has a pure, elegant, full-bodied style as well as beautiful aromatics of cassis, ground herbs, violets/flowers, and cedar pencil. Flawlessly balanced, it builds nicely with time in the glass and has ultra-fine tannins and the class to drink well today yet evolve for 20-25 years. This cuvée spent 20 months in 90% new French oak. Don’t miss it!

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stone Place has a deep garnet-purple color. It opens with youthfully reticent notes of warm cassis, blackberry pie and fragrant earth before bursting onto the scene with Morello cherries, wild blueberries, chocolate box and camphor expressions. The palate is medium to full-bodied and elegantly played, delivering bright, refreshing blue and black berry layers, framed by finely grained tannins, finishing long and savory. 662 cases were made.
