More black fruit than red, with lots of ripeness and lots of sweet oak influence too. Floury tannic grip and full body – this is a good depiction of the power of the vintage, and of the cru. (RH)

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has quite an elegant bouquet, a mélange of red and black fruit combining with finely integrated new oak (25%). The palate is smooth on the entry and quite plush in style, with good depth, though it is missing some terroir expression on the finish.
