Tasting notes
Disgorged without dosage in March 2019, the 2012 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Terre de Vertus is showing beautifully, unwinding in the glass with scents of citrus oil, green apple, crisp apricot, pastry cream and toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, layered and vinous, it's concentrated and textural, with a bright spine of acidity, a pinpoint mousse and a long, saline finish. As usual, it's derived from lieu-dit Les Barillers, located at mid-slope in Vertus.

A riper vintage that has plenty of lemon cream and peaches, as well as some florals and gentle, sweet, bready elements, too. The palate has a sweet core of lemons and peaches with cashews to close. A smooth, fleshy vintage. Drink or hold.
