Tasting notes
Distinctly savory in the glass, the 2023 Nuts, Bolts mixes rosemary and gravel dust with olive and black raspberry. It is more fruit-focused on the palate, with a core of crisp minerality to balance its vivid blackberry and cherry tones as an air of violet pastille amasses toward the close. This echoes with tension, long and staining, gently tannic, leaving a sweet lavender concentration to linger.

The 2023 Nuts & Bolts is rocking stuff, offering deep purple-hued, smoky black fruits, roasted herbs, graphite, lavender, and scorched earth. Made from 100% Syrah and aged in 87% new French oak for 18 months, it's full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, yet stays light on its feet and balanced on the palate. This singular, opulent, powerful Syrah has tremendous character and will keep for a decade. Drink 2025-2035.
Crushed blackberries mingle with dusty sage and cinnamon spice as the 2023 Syrah Nuts & Bolts entices the senses. The palate is weighty, with silken depths of ripe red and black fruits supported by brisk acidity as a bitter tinge of cocoa amasses toward the close. Edgy tannins and a staining of primary concentration remain, balanced by a minty herbal resonance, The finish is dramatically long and pleasantly chewy.
