Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2026, Robert Parker, Apr 2014

A blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot that spent 23 months in new French oak, the 2004 Lake William exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a complex, spicy, earthy nose revealing a hint of oak in the background along with layers of red and black currant fruit, licorice and forest floor. Reminiscent of a hypothetical blend of a Medoc and New World-styled red, it can be drunk now or cellared for another 10-12 years. Tel. (707) 255-5280
