Score 87/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Sep 2022

Sterling's entry-level Cab is the 2019 Heritage Collection Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced largely from Calistoga, with contributions from Diamond Mountain and other parts of Napa Valley. Matured in a mix of French, American and Hungarian oak (about 30% new), it delivers scents of cassis, cedar and vanilla, while the medium to full-bodied palate is supple and easy, finishing juicy, with softly dusty tannins. It's a solid effort at a reasonable price for drinking young.
