Tasting notes
A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre, the 2021 Cuvée Jeanne Marie Proprietary Red is a straightforward, charming take on a Rhône blend. It opens with a medley of dusty red and black fruit aromas accented by herbal, garrigue notes. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied, offering plush, juicy fruit flavors and a savory undercurrent that carries through to the refreshing yet subtly sturdy finish.

Kirsch, blackberries, peppery herbs, and some floral notes all define the 2021 Jean-Marie Cuvee Williamson-Dore Vineyard, a fruit-forward, charming blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. It has soft tannins, good balance, and lots of charm.
The 2021 Cuvée Jeanne Marie Williamson-Doré Vineyard is a very pretty, understated wine. Crushed red berry fruit, pomegranate, rose petal, cinnamon and kirsch are all nicely lifted. The Cuvée is quite delicate in this vintage. I won’t be surprised if it fleshes out a bit more over the next few months, as it was just bottled.
