Tasting notes
Composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec and 2% Merlot, the deep garnet colored 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon charges out of the gate with bold crème de cassis, plum preserves, Morello cherries and licorice scents followed by hints of cloves, dried mint, pencil shavings and spice cake. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with spiced-laced black fruit preserves, framed by finely grained tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on an exotic spice note.

Buoncristiani's 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts gorgeous depth and purity from start to finish. Layers of juicy, black fruit, spices, mint and tobacco are supported by clean veins of minerality that give the wine its focus, tension and length. This beautifully balanced wine should be cellared for another 1-2 years and enjoyed over the following decade. The blend is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec and 2% Merlot.
