Tasting notes
Loads of boysenberry and crushed raspberry aromas here that open to a full body, medium tannins and a fresh and clean finish. Falls a little short. Drink or hold.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Martin Stelling Vineyard is from an Oakville site and this is another powerhouse (14.9% alcohol). This is the most tannic of all of the Nickel & Nickel wines, but certainly loaded with fruit as well. This is a rich, brawny, muscular, masculine style of wine that begs to be forgotten for a good 5-10 years and then consumed over the following 25.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Martin Stelling Vineyard is one of the more reticent wines in this lineup. Graphite, smoke, licorice, menthol and dark shades of fruit gradually open up, but today, the tannins are massive and imposing. The Martin Stelling is a wine for the patient, but there is no shortage of pedigree here, that is for sure.
