Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel 101 Vineyard is another heady, exuberant wine in this range. Dark cherry, plum, licorice and chocolate give this racy, fleshy Zinfandel tons of character. This warm site tends to preserve acidity, resulting in wines that are very well-balanced.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Zinfandel Vineyard 101 explodes with luscious wild berry preserves and peaches, with pure lilac nuance and notes of licorice and orange peel coming through with time in glass. The palate is medium-bodied and packed to the brim with perfumed, juicy fruits, silky in texture and wonderfully fresh, with a very long, floral-laced finish. What beautiful expression this vintage! 190 cases produced.
The 2019 Zinfandel 101 Vineyard, from a site in Alexander Valley, offers up an exotic mélange of black cherry, cloves, leather, licorice and spice. Plush, dark and voluptuous, the 101 delivers serious impact, with superb balance from start to finish. Extroverted and so expressive, the 101 just gets better and better with air.
