Tasting notes
One of the backward wines in the lineup was the 2017 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch, which has a smoky, underbrush, and black fruit-driven style as well as good mid-palate depth, integrated acidity, and solid overall balance. Nevertheless, it’s tight and closed on the palate and will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age.

Failla's 2017 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch is wonderfully expressive in this vintage, with lovely floral and savory top notes that add brightness to a core of red/purplish berry fruit. Medium in body and gracious, the Keefer Ranch is very pretty. This is an especially perfumed style from a site where producers have historically chosen to coax a more overt expression of the Russian River Valley.
