Score 88/100 · Drink 1994-2004, Robert Parker, Apr 1994
Dark ruby, with an open-knit bouquet of cassis, spice, toast, and herbs, the round, gracefully built, medium to full-bodied 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap exhibits excellent richness, a sense of harmony among its component parts, and a long, supple finish with sweet tannin. Although not made in a blockbuster style, there is plenty of depth and richness, as well as a sense of finesse and balance. Drink it over the next decade. Pine Ridge appears to have come out of its slump with impressive wines in 1991 and 1992.
