Aromas of cherries, vine smoke, spices, orange zest and sweet soil tones preface the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers, a medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy wine with melting tannins, succulent acids and a saline, mouthwatering finish.
Cask sample. Mid ruby. Clean, fresh nose of ripe raspberry and dark cherry. Fine, fresh acidity well integrated into a solid fruit-filled palate. Quite firm with feisty, but integrated powdery tannins. Good length. (MH)
