Tasting notes
The 2018 Barolo is delicate and fine. It shows a very clean and hands-off approach in which the grape is put front and center. Tart berry, cassis, licorice and dusty earth emerge from the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is silky and long with just enough tannic detailing to keep it tight and focused. This Barolo should drink nicely up to the 10 or 15-year mark.

Barolo. Just mid ruby. Quite subdued nose that at the same time displays real depth of fruit. Juicy and concentrated and at the same time suave and elegant. Gorgeous, long, fine, chewy tannins on the finish. Ready now. (WS)
The 2018 Barolo is a pliant, supple wine to drink now and over the next decade. All the elements come together so nicely. Time in the glass brings out notes of cedar, dried cherry, forest floor, sweet pipe tobacco, mint and dried herbs to round things out. This is very nicely done.
