Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2024-2038, Neal Martin, Dec 2021

The 2020 Maranges La Fussière 1er Cru, which is normally the last vineyard to be picked, has an exquisite bouquet with red cherries, Tay berry and crushed stone, the oak neatly enmeshed. The palate is medium-bodied with a sappy opening, fine depth and freshness, good tension with a judicious touch of spice towards its harmonious finish. This is up there with exemplary Fussières that I have tasted from Bachelet-Monnot. Just wonderful.
