From a site in Brochon. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Sweet red fruits, strawberry with deeper, rich cherry. A touch of spice too; this is elegant and quite fine. (MH)

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Croix des Champs includes 30% whole clusters. Those stems work well on the nose: well defined with fine edginess and energy. The palate is medium-bodied with fine balanced, attractive tension, modest depth but with a finely-tuned, harmonious finish that has real class. This is well worth seeking out.
