Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2021, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016
The 2014 Auxey-Duresses Les Boutonniers has an upfront bouquet that feels a little oaky at first, though after one hour that recedes and allows the grapefruit, lime and even papaya scents to flourish. The palate is balanced with a crisp line of acidity. While it is not the most complex white Burgundy on the block, it has a freshness and a weight in the mouth that is very appealing. It is a well-crafted Auxey-Duresses Blanc that should be enjoyed over the next 4-6 years. Tasted August 2016.
